Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Defence Production has declared 40 per cent interim dividend for the year 2004-05. Chairman and Managing Director Shri Y Gopala Rao, BEL presented the maiden interim dividend cheque of Rs 24,27,58,400 (Rs Twenty four crore, twenty seven lakh, fifty eight thousand and four hundred) to the Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee at New Delhi today.
BEL manufactures a wide range of hi-tech products like radars, sonars, defence communication equipment, telecommunication equipment, broadcasting equipment, components, electronic voting machine, electronic warfare systems, Opto electronics and tank electronics in its nine manufacturing units in the country.
