The facility of booking tickets through Internet, which was started for cell-phones in the current year will soon be available on landline phones also. Presently booking of rail tickets on the Internet is restricted from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. With effect from 15th March 2005, this facility will be available from 4.00 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. without a break. This was announced by the Railway Minister Shri Lalu Prasad while presenting the Railway Budget 2005-2006 in the Lok Sabha today.
