Realizing the importance of Rain Water Harvesting and Artificial recharge to Ground Water in NCT Delhi, the office of CGWB is observing a Rain Water Harvesting Week w.e.f. 1st to 7th February, 2005. As a part of awareness programme following schools are actively participating Mothers International, Aurobindo Marg; Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Hari Nagar; Sakshar Mahavir Enclave, Palam; CRPF Public School, Rohini; Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lodhi Road and Hamdard Public School, Talimabad, Sangam Vihar.
During the week, various activities that were conducted included Training, Presentations, Film Shows, Drawing Competition, Elocution, etc. More than 150 students from each school along with the support of the Principal and Teachers and officers of the Board ensured its great success. During the week, all logistic support pertaining to drawing competition, banners, posters, etc., have been rendered by the Board.
This week long programme would culminate at CSMRS Building, Hauz Khas, Delhi on 7th February, 2005 wherein children of schools and NGOs would participate. The school children will take up a march to mark the campaign on Rain Water Harvesting and human chain with the help of social workers of the NGOs will be formed to depict the necessity of making Rain Water Harvesting a mass movement in NCT of Delhi.
