Friday, February 11, 2005

Indian Railways have planned to provide three simulators for Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) sheds and five simulators for electric loco sheds for loco pilots (drivers) and motormen.

Simulators based training has been recognized by the Justice H.R. Khanna Railway Safety Review Committee as the most effective method of training for loco pilots and motormen to maintain their level of altermindedness in order to ensure safer rail services to the nation. This will also help eliminate human failure of the loco pilots causing train accidents.
