The Election Commission has today decided to pre-pone the counting of votes in the State of Haryana. The counting of votes will now be taken up at 4.00 PM on 23rd February, 2005 (Wednesday), instead of at 8.00 AM on 27th February, 2005 as fixed earlier. All the Returning Officers have been instructed to intimate the change of schedule to all contesting candidates and their Election Agents in writing. In the case of counting of votes of polling stations where re-poll has been ordered on the same day, the counting of votes of those polling stations will be taken at the last round of counting of votes of the respective Assembly Constituencies, after the re-poll is completed and the EVMs are sealed as per procedure.
