press note: additions to the list of permissible household industries

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 11-A of the Delhi Development Act, 1956, the Central Government hereby makes the following modification in the Master Plan for Delhi – 2001 with immediate effect.

In continuation of Gazette Notification No. S.O. 928 (E) dated 16.8.2004 which was published in the Gazette of India on 17th August, 2004, following additions are made in the list of Household Industries in Annexure-IIIA:

Also in partial modification of Gazette Notification No. S.O. 928 (E) dated 16.8.2004 which was published in the Gazette of India on 17th August, 2004 following changes are made

(a) The Nomenclature of industries mentioned at Item Nos. (xviii), (xx) and (xxi) are changed as under: -

(b) Following processes are included in the list of non-permissible activities:
(i) Burning of Coal

(ii) Use of CFC Gases

(c) The clause regarding storage of chemicals is modified as under: -

“Storing of chemicals listed under Schedule I and/or II of the Manufacture, Storage and Import of Hazardous Chemical Rules, 1989 and Public Liability Insurance Act, 1990 shall be prohibited”.
