The President has greeted fellow-citizens on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. In a Message, the President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has said,
“On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, I convey my warm greetings to all my fellow citizens.
Guru Ravidas, a great Saint and social reformer fought against inequality and injustice and worked for the establishment of a society based on equality, compassion and justice. May his life of sacrifice and dedication guide us to further strengthening brotherhood and mutual understanding amongst our citizens and to share our joys and happiness with the needy around us”.
