The President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has condoled the loss of lives in Jammu and Kashmir due to the recent heavy snowfall and avalanches in the State.
In a message to the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, the President has said he is sure that the State Government is making all efforts to provide relief to the families of those who have lost their lives and is also looking after the injured as well as taking steps to provide supplies to the villages and towns still cut-off due to heavy snow. Dr. Kalam has also said that he understands the difficulties faced by the people and the administration in the circumstances.
