The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of more than one hundred people in the snowstorm in Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Singh has conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.
The Prime Minister has approved an ex-gratia payment of Rs.50,000 each to the next of kin of those who lost of their lives.
