Indian Railways have planned to set up an International Railway Strategic Management Institute under the aegis of International Union of Railways (UIC).
The Institute will prepare Railway Managers to meet the future challenges in rail operations.
It will also pool necessary training resources available worldover.
The emerging globalisation of Indian economy has necessitated setting up of such an Institute to help Indian Railways meet challenges of quality and efficient rail services to the nation.
