The Marine Wing of GSI during the period has successfully completed its sponsored work of ONGC. GSI led and participated in the 23rd Indian Antarctic Expedition and its studies revealed annual average retreat of pola rice sheet margin at the rate of 3.51 meter on southern flank of Schirmacher Oasis.
