The Central Government on the advice of University Grants Commission has included five institutions under the ambit of SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai (Deemed University) as Deemed to be University under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 with immediate effect. These are:
a) S.R.M College of Pharmacy, Chennai, Tamilnadu
b) S.R.M College of Nursing, Chennai, Tamilnadu
c) S.R.M College of Physiotherapy, Chennai, Tamilnadu
d) S.R.M College of Occupational Therapy, Chennai, Tamilnadu
e) S.R.M Institute of Management & Technology, Modinagar, Distt. Meerut
(Uttar Pradesh)
These institutions will adhere to the guidelines/instructions issued by UGC, AICTE and other concerned statutory bodies from time to time as applicable to the Deemed Universities. Their performance is subject to review after three years.
