Based on the suggestions of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs in its Twenty-Eighth Report presented on February 28, 1996, the Union Cabinet today gave its approval to move amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 1994, introduced in the Rajya Sabha on May 9, 1994.
