The Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri O. Ibobi Singh today met the Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Thiru T. R. Baalu. He was accompanied by the Chief Secretary of Manipur and other senior officials.
The status of road projects in Manipur especially pertaining to NH 39, NH 53 and NH 150 was discussed in the Meeting. Thiru Baalu assured Shri Ibobi Singh that the Government is committed to development of National Highways in Manipur and other North-Eastern States. For this, the Department of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, is working on a special package for fast track development of National Highways in the North-East, Thiru Baalu said.
