A celebration of nature through performing arts, known as ‘Prakriti Aur Parivartan’ has been organised here by the Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti and Ministry of Environment and Forests from 18th February 2005. The five-day celebration will include stage plays, street plays and folk dances by renowned theatre personalities such as Ratan Thiyam, Narendera Sharma, Kanahai Lal, Habib Tanvir and M. K. Raina.
The celebration, which was inaugurated by the Minister of State for Environment and Forests Shri Namo Narain Meena, attempts at portraying the delicate balance between development and environmental protection by interpreting the various modern and ancient stories of India through the medium of performing arts.
The celebration will conclude tomorrow.
