The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following postings and transfers:
Shri Jagdish Pal Singh, IAS (RJ:72), presently Director General, Sports Authority of India, as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour, against the post vacated by Shri Baleshwar Rai, IAS (AGMU:70).
Shri Dinesh Rai, IAS (UP:74), presently Managing Director, National Cooperative Development Corporation, under the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, be re-notified in his present post in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post.
Shri M. Madhavan Nambiar, IAS (TN:74), presently Joint Secretary, Department of Information Technology, as Additional Secretary in the same Department by restoring the post to the level of Additional Secretary.
Shri Surrender Pal Gaur, IAS (UP:74), presently Executive Director, national Centre for Disaster management, as Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, vice Shri Jainder Singh, IAS (AP:72) on his proceeding on leave.
Shri Ratan P. Watal, IAS (AP:78), presently in the cadre, as Director General, Sports Authority of India, in the rank and pay of Joint Secretary by temporarily downgrading the post, vice Shri Jagdish Pal Singh, IAS (RJ:72).
