17 new urban development projects in north east

Ministry of Urban Development has sanctioned 17 new projects/schemes for the benefit of North Eastern Region and Sikkim so far during this financial year under the lump sum provision for North Eastern Region. These schemes amounting to Rs.116.019 crore will be executed by NBCC or the state government agencies. An amount of Rs. 78.727 crore has been released out of the total provision of Rs.114 crores for the current financial year. The new projects are as follows:



Reconstruction of Kohima Super Market Complex, Nagaland - Rs. 8.85 crore
Providing Gravity Water Supply to Tuensang Town, Nagaland – Rs. 15.118 crore
Construction of Shopping Complex Block ‘A’ at Thoubal, Manipur - Rs. 22.14 crore
Construction of Shopping Complex Block ‘B’ at Thoubal, Manipur - Rs. 12.176 crore
Construction of Parking cum Shopping Complex at Balwakhani, Sikkim - 14.890 crore
Construction of Amenity Centre at Chumukedima Gate, Dimapur, – Rs. 0.892 crore, Nagaland
Construction of Amenity Centre at Nagaland Gate, Golaghat Road, - Rs 0.687 crore, Dimapur, Nagaland
Construction of Zunheboto College Academic Building at Zunheboto, – Rs. 1.013 crore, Nagaland
Construction of Storm Water Drainage Scheme for Jorhat Master Plan Area – Rs.13.674 crore, Assam
Construction of Indoor Stadium at Kiphire, Nagaland – Rs. 0.955 crore
Construction of Electric Crematorium at Shilong, Meghalaya – Rs. 4.090 crore
Construction of Nazira Business Centre, Nazira, Assam – Rs. 3.011 crore
Improvement of water supply at Jairampur Township,Arunachal Pradesh–Rs. 6.271 crore
Improvement of Water supply at Tawang Township,Arunachal Pradesh –Rs.8.545 crore
Upgradation of Road Network in Tawang Township, Arunachal Pradesh -Rs. 3.373 crore
Construction of Pay and Use Toilets at Kohima, Nagaland – Rs. 0.146 crore
Development of Parks at Kohima, Nagaland – Rs. 0.169 crore
