Uddhav Thackrey is trying hard to reinforce faith among fellow Sainiks. After the much publicised split with cousin Raj Thackrey, Uddhav today said that the Sena will remain a dominant political party in Mahrashtra, no matter what.

“No one born in the last seven generations has been able to finish the Sena and no one born hence, will be able to harm the party,” said Uddhav, trying to put to rest the doubts of fellow sainiks while addressing the party's divisional meeting. Uddhav urged the sainiks to remain determined to serve the people, to counter the rival political parties using the “divide and rule” policy against the Sena.

The Sena supremo also threatened to launch an agitation in the state over issues of farmer suicides, cotton growers and electricity shortage, should the Congress led Democratic Front government fail to resolve the issues in two months. Uddhav also criticised the high-handedness of the government in the recent lathi-charge incident at the Mumbai Airport, involving spiritual leader Narendra Maharaj.
