The third India-Sri Lanka Test, slated to be held in Kanpur from 18th-22nd December will now be held in Ahmedabad after Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association expressed its inability to host the match at Green Park Stadium.

Talking to reporters at Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai after the first meeting of the new BCCI Working Committee, newly elected Board President Sharad Pawar said the Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Pakistan early next year, has been postponed.

Mr Pawar said he had a discussion with Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shaharyar Khan and they have decided to postpone the Asia Cup to a mutually accepted date later.

The BCCI chief said a committee would be set up to give recommendations to make the working of the cricket board more professional.

He, however, added that they had not decided on the composition of the committee and this would be done soon after further discussion among the new office bearers.

The Union Agriculture Minister, who, after taking over the reins of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), had formed a Cricket Improvement Committee, is now in the process of doing the same with the BCCI.
