Mrs Sonia Gandhi, in Mumbai during the same time BJP
was celebrating its silver jubilee made veiled dig at
BJP and asked congress workers not to allow internal
bickering.
"The present situation in other political parties
is very bad. We should not allow the problems confronting
the other parties to spread their tentacles in Congress,"
Mrs Gandhi said addressing party workers here without
naming any party. She said differences within the party
should be resolved amicably through discussions. "The
future of each of us is inter-connected and all of us
should work together by following the path laid down
by former leaders of the party for the development of
the country and its brighter future," Mrs Gandhi
added.
"We should emphasis on unity and discipline while
working on the principles of the party," she said.
Earlier, Mrs Gandhi handed over the keys of houses constructed
by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority
(MMRDA) for slum dwellers in the city at Mankhurd.
