ANDHERI: The local residents were baffled by the stink
in front of a bank near Pinky cinema, Andheri. The informed
the police about the foul smell. The police spotted
a sealed plastic bag and when they opened out came the
dead body of an 8-year-old girl.
The dead body was sent for post mortem at Cooper Hospital.
An officer on special duty revealed that, " Either
one or more persons seem to have first raped and then
killed this girl. There is no eyewitness to this incident.
On observing the corpse one can guess that the death
is unnatural, due to marks on her neck. The girl seems
to hail from a poor family. "
Police investigations are on.
