KHAR: Reshma Advani had registered (CR No-359/05) a
case in the Khar police station against her maid Neelam
Jai Jadhav (20). Neelam was working and staying at the
complainant's residence since October-2005. Two months
after she gained the confidence of Reshma, Neelam plotted
a theft. On November 29, when Reshma was out for some
work, Neelam stole cash, jewellery and mobile valued
to be over Rs. 2 lakh from the house.
Interestingly, Neelam approached Advocate Mishra to
defend her and told him that she had little money to
pay him as fees but if he can oblige. Mishra sympathized
with her and even bought her lunch. He then took his
children to school leaving her in his house.
Here too, Neelam allegedly stole the Advocate's mobile
and fled.
Mishra registered a complaint with Khar police.
In the meanwhile, Neelam went to Panvel to stay with
her boyfriend and stole his mobile too before fleeing
away. Police recovered all that she had stolen.
