Talking to a TV channel, BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu who was
perceived as the one to replace LK Advani as the party president
has declared that he was not interested in the post.
The top job in the party will be vacant after Advani steps
down from the post by the end of the month.
"First of all, I am not in the race. Secondly, the party
should consider others because the party has already provided
me the opportunity to head the party," Naidu said.
"So, there is no question of my being in the race or
getting inclined to become the President of the party. This
I have conveyed to my friends," he said.
