Daulat Pisal, A constable with the local arms unit at Marol, Mumbai committed suicide, along with his family comprising his wife and two children, in his flat at Lodha Heritage Complex, Manpada, near Dombivli.

Neighbours complained of a stink originating from the cop's flat. On investigating, the decomposed bodies of Daulat Pisal (39), his wife Vaishali (35), son Omkar (11) and daughter Rasika (15) were found after the police broke down the door towards the evening, Senior inspector Sadiq Shekh said, "Pisal had written a suicide note, blaming his elder sister for creating doubts in his parents' mind regarding his wife's character. Due to this the parents had distanced themselves from the family. Consequently Pisal went into depression and chose to take this extreme step."

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, but initial investigations suggest that the family may have consumed pesticide on Monday evening.
