While the heavy weights including the former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee (who was delayed), the party president L K Advani, Rajnath Singh, Pramod Mahajan, and Arun Jaitley seemed unenthusiastic the media’s attention was grabbed by the glamorous but light weights including Shatrughan Sinha, Hema Malini and Smriti Irani. The Om on Hema’s sari and the sulk on Shatrughan Sinha’s face were the talking point in absence of any sensational statement or happening on the dais.
Garam Dharam and Vinod Khanna were absent.
Dharamendra is rumored to be unwell and Khanna may make an appearance on the last day.

BJP, confused after several jolts including the departure of Uma Bharati, sting operation followed by sacking of over half a dozen MPs who were caught accpeting bribes on camera, is not able to decide on their own leader.

Rajnath Singh's name is being touted and withdrawn because of inner conflicts - though some say that he will take charge in mid January due to astrological reasons - and with Advani's resignation, the party may be headless for a couple of weeks.
