On Dec 12, Ashish Kannu Shaikh (40) a resident of Ram
Jharokha society at S.V. Road, Andheri returned home
to find he had been robbed and Rs.9.3 lakh rupees in
cash were missing. Shaikh, a businessman had gone with
his family to visit Sidhavinayak and Mahalaxmi Temples
since morning.
Shaikh imediately informed the D N Nagar Police station
about the robbery. Despite heavy security in the society,
the house was robbed.
In another case, unidentified robbers snatched the
bag of some foreigners near McDonalds at Andheri station.
They managed to escape with a laptop, mobile phone,
clothes and Rs. 1.14 lakh in cash. The victim, Jerold
Jery Maner had come to Mumbai as a tourist. He was staying
at Hotel Suresha, Andheri (E). He lodged the case at
Andheri East, which was transferred to DN Nagar -police
station.
Avadha Chauhan is investigating the case. No one has
been arrested so for.
