The Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Shri Sunil Dutt has expressed deep shock and grief at the demise of former Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao.
In a message released here today, Shri Dutt said, “The country has lost a statesman who always had nation’s interest uppermost in his mind. He steered the country through severe economic crisis when he assumed office of Prime Minister in 1991. He will also be remembered for initiating economic reforms in the country. He was a great scholar and a linguist who left an indelible mark on country’s politics. The Indian politics and the country has suffered an irreparable loss in the death of Shri Rao.”
