The Union Agriculture Minister Shri Sharad Pawar has expressed deep shock and grief at the demise of the former Prime Minister Shri P V Narasimha Rao.
In his condolence message the Minister said:-
“I am deeply shocked to learn about the passing away of our esteemed Shri Narasimha Rao. He was not only a towering political figure but also a scholar of repute. A multi-lingual he displayed exceptional equanimity during trouble times. Shri Narasimha Rao not only fought for the freedom of this country but also contributed immensely in the making of modern India. As Defence Minister in his Government, I had very close association with him and was always by the depth of his knowledge and understanding of diverse issues. In his death, India has lost an outstanding statesman. ”
