rural development ministry releases three lakh mts of foodgrains to rajasthan and assam

Ministry of Rural Development released two lakh MTs of wheat to the State of Rajasthan under Special Component of Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana(SGRY) to be utilized for creation of additional wage employment for the 25 districts of the State.

This release has been made on the recommendation of the Drought Management Division of the Ministry of Agriculture. This foodgrains is to be utilized for employment generation component of various programmes. Workers are required to be provided a minimum of 25% of the wages in cash and remaining as foodgrains. The validity period for lifting of the allocated foodgrains will be three months from the date of this issue. This allocation (in MT) has been made to twenty five districts of the State, viz., Ajmer (7500), Alwar(3200), Banswara(500), Baran(3300), Barmer(17000), Bharatpur(3000), Bhilwara(2000), Bikaner(17500), Chittorgarh(3000), Churu(17000), Dausa(2000), Dungarpur(500), Ganganagar(8500), Hanumangarh(4500), Jaipur(3500), Jaisalmer(17000), Jalore(17000), Jhunjhunu (2000), Jodhpur(17000), Karauli(500), Nagaur(17000), Pali(17000), Rajsamand(17000), Sirohi(500) and Udaipur(2000).

Similarly, one lakh MTs of wheat has been released to State of Assam under Special Component of SGRY for 23 districts of State. These are: Barpeta(9246), Bongaigaon(5777), Cachar(6769), Darrang(4412), Dhemaji(2998), Dhubri(9910), Dibrugarh(1198), Goalparaa(6541), Golaghat(1690), Hailandi(2314), Jorhat(2406), Kamrup(9301), Karbi Anglong(1476), Karimganj(4029), Kokrajhar(982), Morigaon(6154), N.C. Hills(456), N. Lakhimpur(2233), Nagaon(10770), Nalbari(4429), Sibsagar(1410), Sonitpur(4108) and Tinsukia(1391).
