The Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Sunil Dutt has announced a lump-sum grant of Rs. 5 crores to the State Government of Punjab for infrastructure and other requirements for the on-going 1st East-West Punjab Games at Patiala. The games being held from 5th December to 11th December, 2004 are being organised by the Government of Punjab and the Punjab Olympic Association as a follow up of the MoU signed between the Punjab Olympic Association of India and the Punjab Olympic Association of Pakistan.
