The Justice SN Phukan Commission has submitted its report on Tehelka expose. Part – I of the report was submitted to the Government on Feb 04, 2004 by the commission. The commission in its order dated Feb 05, 2004 mentioned that the report contains prologue and conclusions in respect of 15 past transactions with interim recommendations.
The Justice SN Phukan Commission has been wound up from Oct 04, 2004. After careful consideration of the entire matter, the Government has decided to have the matter investigated by the CBI.
This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee in a written reply to Shri Prabodh Panda and others in Lok Sabha today.
