On November 20, 2004, the Prime Minister has laid the foundation store for Jiribam-Imphal (Tupul) new line project. The anticipated cost of this 97.9 kms. new line project is Rs. 727.56 crore. An outlay of Rs. 3.00 crore has been provided for the project during the current financial year. Tender for final location survey of the project has been processed. The work will be completed in the coming years as per the availability of resources.
