The Ministry of Defence has received a proposal from the West Bengal Government to establish a Sainik School at Farakka in West Bengal.
A reply has been forwarded to the West Bengal Government on July 22, 2004. Further details are awaited from the State Government.
This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee in a written reply to Shri Hannan Mollah in Lok Sabha today.
