The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh met the President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The two leaders discussed issues of National and International importance. The P.M. briefed the President about the Current Parliament Session and Legislative Business being transacted there. The P.M. briefed the President about his visits abroad to attend the Indo-European and Indo-Asean Summits. The P.M. also briefed the President about his recent visits to J&K and North East and various initiatives undertaken by the Govt. for these states.
The President also discussed with the P.M. various aspects of economic development with reference to his visits to various states.
