RAJYA SABHA
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) have invested Rs.1,040.57 crore in the equity of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), including Rs.59.43 for the acquisition of the entire shareholding of the Aditya Birla Group in MRPL during March 2003 – July 2003. The present market value of ONGC’s shareholding in MRPL is Rs.5,718 crore (based on a share price of Rs.45.55 as on 29.11.2004).
This information was given by Shri Mani Shankar Aiyar, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Panchayati Raj in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today
