Dr. Justice A.S. Anand, Chairperson, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has expressed solidarity with the people affected by the calamity caused due to Tsunami Waves and has contributed one month’s salary towards the Prime Minister Relief Fund.
In view of the huge loss of lives and damage to property in the States of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands caused by Tsunami Waves of unimaginable high magnitude, Dr. Justice Anand has appeal to all the officers and staff of the Commission to contribute at least a day’s salary to Prime Minister Relief Fund. The members of NHRC have also volunteered to make generous contributions.
