A consortium of Consultants has been appointed for synergising the operations of BSNL and MTNL. The advisor is yet to submit a report to the Government. The Government has not yet taken any decision regarding merger of MTNL and BSNL.
The above information was given by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Shakeel Ahmad in a written reply to a question by Smt. N.P. Durga, in the Rajya Sabha today.
