Manganese Ore (India) Limited , (MOIL), a Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India has declared highest ever dividend of 30 per cent for the year 2003-04. A dividend cheque amounting to Rs.3.75 crore was presented to Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of Steel, Chemicals and Fertilizers by Shri P.M.Reddy, Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of MOIL here today. Earlier, the Company had paid a dividend 20 per cent for eight years to its share holders up to 1999-2000 and from 2000-01 up to 2002-03, paid a dividend of 27 per cent. In view of the excellent performance, the Company has paid 30 per cent dividend for the financial year 2003-04 which is the highest ever since its inception.
The Company has achieved highest ever production of 7.99 lakh tonnes and highest ever sales turnover of Rs.229 crores. For the first time in the history of the Company, the turnover has crossed Rs. 200 crore mark. Dr.Manoranjan, Secretary Steel was also present on the occasion.
