The Government has already posed the following two projects to the World Bank for funding:
Capacity cum Safety Enhancement Project for Kanpur-Mughalsarai section (total cost US$ 23 million).
Munger bridge (total cost US$ 180 million).
In addition to above, works to be taken up for modernization, throughout enhancement, safety enhancement and Remote Area Rail Sampark Yojana, have been identified for World Bank funding.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Railway Shri R. Velu in a written reply to a question from Shri Pankanj Chowdhary in the Lok Sabha today.
