Libya has lifted an informal ban on commodity imports from India, which was in force for the last few years. This was stated by Shri E.V.K.S. Elangovan, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
Also, Indian firms have already made a foray in Libya in infrastructure, power, oil and telecommunications. New sectors identified for cooperation with Libya include automobiles, software, IT education, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, he said.
