Chairman of the Law Commission of India, Mr. Justice M. Jagannadha Rao presented Commission’s 191st Report on ‘Regulation of Funds collected for Calamity Relief’ to Shri H.R. Bhardwaj, Union Minister for Law & Justice on 15th December, 2004. The Law Commission had earlier released a consultation paper on this subject and after receiving responses, finalised the Report. The Commission in the Report has recommended for enacting a Central legislation for regulation of funds collected for calamity relief.
