Jadavpur University of Kolkata has offered to buy the prestigious National Instruments Ltd. which is on the verge of closure. The university has expressed its interest to take over the responsibility of its land, building and manpower. However, no monetary offer has been made in the letter expressing the interest. The offer is being examined by the government.
This information was given by the Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Shri Sontosh Mohan Dev in reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
