LOK SABHA

All the schemes under which grant-in-aid is released by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment to Voluntary Organisations require that the voluntary organisations will follow the reservation policy for filling the posts under their control on the lines indicated by the Government of India. Recently, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has reiterated these instructions and the sanction letters for release of grant-in-aid also incorporate this condition.

The details regarding persons employed against the reserved posts is maintained by the Voluntary Organisations at their level.

No instances of violation of the provisions of reservation have come to notice and the NGOs are also being given sufficient time to implement the policy.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Smt. Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
