Films Division under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has produced 17 educative films and films giving message to fight with social evils during April,2001-March,04 from the budget provided by the Government. Apart from it, four films on the said subjects are under production. National Film Development Corporation Ltd., a Public Sector Undertaking under this Ministry, promotes meaningful cinema with social messages and has produced/co-produced/financed a number of talented film makers in films with the message to fight against social evils.
Children’s Film Society, India has produced ten films in 2001-02, three films in 2002-03 and ten films in 2003-04 at a cost of Rs. 218.44 lakhs, Rs. 168.94 lakhs and Rs. 219.03 lakhs respectively from the funds provided by the Government. Apart from it, Films Division has also produced 11 films for children during the said period.
