The Films Division(FD) has set up a stall at the Film Bazaar, IFFI-2004 for marketing VCDs of a wide variety of its films on Indian cinema, music, dance, maestros, eminent personalities, people and places, among others. The stall is getting good response particularly from those who love documentaries and are enthusiastic to procure these rare documentary films which speak in volumes the efforts of Films Division in compiling and producing documentaries of different hues over five decades to suit the requirements of all spectrums of the society.
The Films Division is also offering telecast rights of its films in India and abroad, apart from marketing films. To facilitate selection of films, interested parties may log on to the Films Division website, www.filmsdivision.org, where webcasting of hundreds of films from its vast repertoire of more than 8000 films is available.
The Films Division is soliciting offers for organizing festival of award winning documentaries from film societies and other organizations world-wide. It has successfully organized an International Film Festival recently in Mauritius in collaboration with the Mauritius Film Development Corporation. The ninth edition of the much awaited and acclaimed Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, short and Animation Films (MIFF), organized by the Films Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, will be held in Mumbai from 3rd to 9th February, 2006.
