The Ministry of tourism has sanctioned a project proposal for Integrated Development of Central Circuit Gwalior- Shivpuri- Chanderi- Orchha- Khajuraho- Jhansi- Bhopal- Sanchi and surrounding area of Bhimbetka- Panchmarhi- Kanha, Jabalpur involving central financial assistance of Rs. 910.82 lakh during 2002-03 and 2003-04. This was stated by the Minister of State for Tourism, Smt. Renuka Chowdhury in reply to a question by Shri Pyarelal Khandelwal in Rajya Sabha today.
The Minister further stated that the Ministry of Tourism sanctions tourism Circuits Projects received from the State Governments/UT Administrations on the basis of consultations fields visits, availability of funds etc.
