As per 2001 Census, Delhi is the most densely populated state in the country with a density of 9340 persons per sq. km. The main reason for it is the availability of employment opportunities, which attracts migration from other States.

The investment was made for power, transport, water supply, urban development, education, medical and public health sectors.
