Irrigation being a State Subject the Irrigation projects are planned, formulated, executed and funded by the State Governments out of their own resources as per their priorities. All those projects which have been approved by the Planning Commission have been taken up for construction.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Water Resources, Shri Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
