The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to establish an E-Committee, initially for a period of one year, to formulate a national policy on computerization of Indian judiciary and also to create the post of Chairman of the Committee of the level of a Chief Justice or a Judge of the High court.

The other posts of the members on the Committee such as Member-Judicial, Member-Technical and the supporting staff will be created by the Supreme Court on their registry. The total estimated expenditure will be to the tune of Rs.1.35 crores on establishment and functioning of the Committee.
