The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for introduction of a Bill in the Parliament to amend the Government of Union Territories Act, 1963 and the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act, 1991 to bring the said Acts in conformity with the Constitution (Eighty-Seventh Amendment) Act, 2003.
The Amendment to the said Acts would help in correcting the imbalances caused by uneven growth of population in constituencies, within the boundaries of the Union Territories.
